August tends to be a bad month for the biotech sector
If you look at the performance of stocks in the US, August tends to be a shaky month. Since 1993, August has been the worst month for the Dow. June and September come second and third.

As you can see, August is the only month where the sector has made losses. In five years, it only rose in 2012 and 2014.
The same has happened in other biotech ETFs.
Why it’s time to invest in the biotech sector
Historically, September, November, December and January are great months for biotech stocks. They tend to perform very well.
And this gives you the perfect entry point into the sector. If you haven’t already invested in biotech stocks, now is the time to consider it.
